if I go
would you need me
will you meet me
half way there
if i don't show
would you believe me
when its easy
to careless
on the road, at night, sometimes, I am blinded
by the repetious dark
and the tricks on my eyes
if you wait for me
does the good and the evil
seem to be the only thing
that matters
when I'm in rome
dear I swear I too stand,alone
under the angels
and latters
and if you come at dawn, always, I am lonely
from all the useless beauty
here without you
but with a midnight prayer, the road disappears and
you haunt me, you don't want me
here without you

Wondering...
Are you out there?
I came across this websight when my 1yr old daughter pulled my dusty journal off the bookshelf yesterday. One of the two loose papers in the front had a memorable poem from a great friend called the Big D that had been passed down sometime ago to me. On the back of this paper was an email wich no longer works and a webpage titled "This Traveling Will". Big D's poem went...
Old friends and new
Drinking beer and whisky to the bone.
Some connections never die
only stronger
Kerouac Lives on all around
Drunken bastard
The girls smile & I smile from within.
I'm tired
But never want to sleep.
Not when people of Heaven
Talk from the heart
and believe it
D.M.
Those were good times with soulful people. Would you agree?
Just wondering where this insane life has taken you or, where you have taken it. Would love to hear from you sometime.
